Ashwin started crawling before he completed 6 months. He had been trying to move around and would swivel himself on his stomach for a 360 degree view. Around the time he turned 5 and a half month old, he had slowly started crawling. Now he has become faster and is able to quickly reach anything he is interested in. He loves slippers, I think I need to get him a pair that he can use just for chewing. I guess it's soft and chewy and light enough to grab on to. Sameer also had a big fascination for slippers as a baby. With him, eventually we had to stop wearing slippers in the house- just socks- for the longest time.
These days, Ashwin is really interested in trying to stand up. While he can easily stand on his knees, he has been able to stand on his feet at the bottom of stairs, holding onto steps, as well as the loveseat, while holding the handle. He loves getting everyone's attention, including strangers, always ready to reward people with a smile. Sameer did not have much stranger anxiety either, but neither do I remember him being as 'social'.
