Words of encouragement

I love it when Sameer compliments me on something I have cooked for him. A few days back he told me that the wheat porridge I made for him was nice. He said, "Mumma achha." He did not say it on his own. But when Rahul asked him if he liked it, he said it on his own accord. These days, he'll also spontaneously give us a kiss or a hug or just a caress. When interacting with Sameer we try to be as positive as possible. Children love and need words of encouragement. That is what I read everywhere. Well, I think it's equally important for parents too. Specially coming from your own child, it can carry a lot of weight :-)
